This is for you kind hearted people who want to support my education! I am going to attend the University of Tokyo for their PEAK program in environmental science. This October I plan to go to Japan to take a tour of the campus and dorms. BUT a ticket per person is $1,300 USD! That’s A LOT OF MONEY I don’t have! I also have to pay for my aunt, she wants to go with me but she is broke because of medical bills (if you are interested in what is wrong please message me personally).   So together thats around $2,600 USD for two round trip tickets AT THE LEAST. Then we have to pay hotel fees for 9 nights in a hotel, Hotels per night that are close to the school can get very expensive. per night its between $200 USD - $260 USD. So for 9 nights its around $2340! yikes. Don’t forget food money either. for 10 days Id say maybe $400 USD? 

MY TOTAL GOAL FOR THE TRIP IS 5,500! Every penny counts, please help me out in my goal to study and move to Japan.

I have, just tonight, found myself without a home. I have been violently kicked out of my ex-boyfriends house and now have found myself no where to go. I am currently with Emily, my best friend, but I’m not sure where I’m going to go tomorrow or the next. I have no job as of right now, but I have been looking. The only options I have are either living in my car with a 3-month-old kitten or couch hopping with a 3-month-old kitten. I am not asking for any charity or sympathy, but just getting the information out there that I am homeless with my cat. I’m sorry to bother you all, but I feel the need to share this with my followers.

This is the easiest way to register to vote in the U.S. that I’ve found.

If you don’t have access to a printer or a car (like me), you can go to this website (TurboVote.org - translations in English or in Spanish), fill out your information, and they will mail you the printed forms AND a stamped envelope addressed to your county clerk’s office. All you have to do is pop it in the mail box once you receive them and you’re registered.

You can also sign up to do an absentee ballot/vote by mail so you don’t need to find transportation (or take the time off work) on election day.

It’s definitely legit because I just received and sent off the forms today. I’m not affiliated with the site in any way, I’m just excited to find such a great resource.

There. Now nobody can say it’s too hard to register.

Even if you have zero interest in the presidential thing, there’s usually a ton of local initiatives on the ballot too which affect stuff like your tax burden, your local education funding, who can marry who, i.e. stuff that can have a big, direct and immediate effect on your life. Again: C’MON.

apart from turbovote, you can also use this site to register for an absentee vote!  i know that’s what i and a lot of other collegiates have to do!
